West Ham striker Michail Antonio was in a road traffic accident on Saturday, the Premier League club confirmed on social media. The condition of the player is currently unclear with the club saying there will be an update in due course.
“West Ham United can confirm striker Michail Antonio has today been involved in a road traffic accident. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the Club are with Michail, his family and friends at this time. The Club will issue an update in due course,” the London-based club posted on X.
Antonio had joined West Ham in 2015 after playing for Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Colchester, Southampton, Cheltenham and Reading. He has played 322 matches for West Ham and scored 83 goals. He has also won the UEFA Conference League with the Hammers in 2023.

He has played 322 matches for West Ham and scored 83 goals. He has also won the UEFA Conference League with the Hammers in 2023.
West Ham will next play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.
