Inter plan to spoil Harry Kane’s ‘biggest dream’ ahead of Champions League quarter-final clash

Bayern Munich is all set to take on Serie A side Inter Milan in the Quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. The Bayern striker is yet to win a major trophy and revealed that his biggest dream is to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich.

“It would be a dream. It’s been a dream of mine pretty much my whole life and we have the opportunity to do that this year. But also to do it at home in front of our fans at the Allianz, I think would make it even more special”, said Kane, ahead of the crucial fixture.

The Englishman is in red hot form going into the tie, with 10 goals in the UCL till now (only one behind UCL top scorer Raphinha). Even though Kane’s side finished 12th in the League format, they made easy work of domestic rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16, demolishing the Xabi Alonso-led side 5-0 across two legs.

Kane also scored thrice to eliminate the side who took away the Bundesliga from his reach in his debut season for the Bavarians, in 2024.

While momentum seems to side with Kane and his Bayern teammates, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter haven’t been receiving the praise they deserve. After getting past Eredivisie side Feyenoord in the Round of 16 4-1 on aggregate, Inter boast being the side that has conceded the least amount of goals in the competition – 2. And that includes the League stages.

So, as the unstoppable force (in this case, Bayern) prepares to meet an immovable object (Inter’s rock-solid defense), Kane and Co will definitely feel the pressure of making it past them to book a spot in the semi-final.

To play the UCL final at the Allianz Arena and to win his first-ever major trophy in front of his own fans is nothing short of a fairytale. Kane’s pursuit for silverware continues, as Bayern host Inter for the first leg of the quarter-final. The second leg is scheduled for April 17th, with Bayern making the difficult journey to the San Siro, where opponents have managed to find the net just once.
