Here are the Premier League players to have created the most chances this season.
Yes, we’ve gone early but we wanted to make the most of what will presumably be a very brief period in which Bruno Fernandes isn’t at the top with the Manchester United captain ruling the roost in the last two seasons. He’s not even in the top ten yet.
We’ve included the chances created in total as well as the per 90 in brackets to separate the ties. Thanks to Fotmob for the stats.
1) Andreas Pereira (Fulham): 14 (4.8)
Came fifth last season and remains a criminally underrated creator, both in open play and over a dead ball. was linked with Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Newcastle over the summer and that interest will no doubt extend to January and beyond if he continues to have such a creative influence for Marco Silva’s side.
2) Dwight McNeil (Everton): 13 (4.3)
A rose between thorns perhaps, although he did miss an absolute sitter in the defeat to Brighton, so maybe just a slightly less thorny thorn.

3) Cole Palmer (Chelsea): 11 (3.8)
Stormed to the top of the Premier League assists chart with a hat-trick of them in 14 mad minutes against Wolves, having already scored a quite wonderful goal, before backing that up with another assist against Crystal Palace. The sky’s the limit.
4) Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City): 11 (3.7)
Set the rumour mill turning at the start of the summer by saying he was “open to everything” amid talk of a Saudi offer, but now looks set for a last hurrah in the final year of his contract at City. He’s off to a typically excellent start.
5) Marcus Tavernier (Bournemouth): 9 (3.1)
He and Antoine Semenyo are a lovely double act on the wings for Bournemouth, who produced that stunning turnaround against Everton to give them five points from three games to start the season.
6) Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest): 9 (3.0)
The match winner against Southampton and comfortably the best player on the pitch, as has so often been the case since his move to Forest, who have done very well to hang on to him this summer.
7) Anthony Gordon (Newcastle): 8 (2.9)
His head may have been turned by Liverpool during the summer but he’s now very much back to focusing on Newcastle, who have started the season in some style.
8) Jarrod Bowen (West Ham): 8 (2.9)
Scored a very Jarrod Bowen goal in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and the captaincy doesn’t appear to have hampered his efficient brilliance for the Hammers.
9) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): 8 (2.8)
Seventh in 2021/2022, sixth in 2022/2023 and fourth last season so we’re expecting Starboy to at least make the podium this term. Already a goal and three assists in Arsenal’s opening three games.
10) Dominic Szoboszlai (Liverpool): 8 (2.7)
Jamie Carragher reckons he was “unprofessional” for taking the p*ss out of Manchester United in Liverpool’s 3-0 win, but he was also brilliant in that game and we enjoyed it anyway.
